Privacy Policy

JAMAK AI S.A.S. de C.V. ("JAMAK", "we"), domiciled in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, is responsible for the processing of your personal data through the Regio Placas mobile application ("the App") and the regioplacas.app website. This notice describes our data processing under applicable Mexican personal-data protection rules.

1. Personal data we collect

To provide our services we collect:

  • Identification and account data: full name and email address. You can sign in with email and password, with an access link sent to your email, or with Google or Apple. We do not use phone numbers to create accounts or sign in.
  • Optional contact data: a phone number, only if it is already on your profile or appears in documents you choose to upload. It is not an account identifier.
  • Vehicle data: plate number, make, model, year, vehicle type
  • User-provided documents: images and files for licenses, registration cards, identification, insurance policies, and other vehicle documents you choose to store
  • Policy details you enter: insurer, policy number, assistance or claims phone number, and expiration date. They are stored per vehicle for reminders and so you can retrieve them from your account in an emergency.
  • Technical data: push notification token, device identifier, operating system
  • Usage data: App interactions, screens visited, and features used. PostHog receives the account identifier and that account's email address when one already exists; we never generate a fictional email. We do not send your name or phone number to PostHog as identity data. This analytics data is linked to your account and is not anonymous.
  • Limited campaign attribution: source, medium, campaign, and call-to-action placement when you open an App link or voluntarily submit the contact form. Analytics and lead records retain only those limited fields; the hosting platform may temporarily process the requested URL for security and operations. We do not send authentication parameters or advertising identifiers to analytics.
  • Optional website analytics: if you allow it, Google Analytics receives technical cookie identifiers and public-page views with normalized paths, without URL parameters, account data, or form contents. Separately, if you allow recordings, Microsoft Clarity records interactions on the query-free homepage; all text is strictly masked. Recordings can still show clicks, scrolling, query-free link destinations, and page structure. Neither tool loads before your choice.

Safe Sale NL: checklist progress, the handoff date, activity log, and reminder identifiers are stored only in the App's local storage, scoped to your account on that device. They are not uploaded to JAMAK or Supabase. We may receive limited, pseudonymized events indicating that you opened or used the feature, but not checklist content, dates, or the activity log. The feature does not request the buyer's name, phone number, identification, or documents.

2. Sensitive personal data

Regio Placas does not intentionally request sensitive personal data. Documents you choose to upload may nevertheless contain photographs, signatures, addresses, or other additional information. Review each file and redact information that is not necessary before storing it.

3. Purposes of processing

Primary purposes (necessary for the service):

  • Create and manage your user account
  • Check available vehicle information from public sources and identify the source and last-updated date when available
  • Send you alerts and reminders about vehicle deadlines
  • Schedule optional ownership-transfer reminders on your device when you use Safe Sale NL
  • Store the documents and policy details you choose to register

Secondary purposes (optional):

  • Analyze usage patterns to improve the App
  • Measure in aggregate which campaigns lead to the App store listing and attribute a contact request to its campaign
  • With your separate permission, measure visits to public website pages and observe homepage interactions to improve the site
  • Send you communications about new features or services

If you do not wish your data to be used for secondary purposes, you may contact us at the email listed in the contact section.

On this website, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are off by default. You can allow either, both, or neither and change your choice through “Analytics preferences” in the footer. Withdrawing permission stops future loading and removes cookies accessible to this website; it does not automatically erase data already received by the providers. Contact us to request access or deletion.

4. Service providers and data transfers

We use providers that process data on JAMAK's behalf to operate the service. Depending on the feature you use, these may include:

  • Supabase Inc. — secure cloud data storage (US servers)
  • PostHog Inc. — usage analytics linked to the account identifier and email address when available
  • Google LLC (Google Analytics) — optional public-page measurement using browser identifiers
  • Microsoft (Clarity) — optional homepage recordings with text masked
  • Expo / EAS — update distribution and push notifications
  • Apple and Google — sign-in when you choose one of those providers
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging — push token and notification delivery on compatible devices
  • Sentry — crash diagnostics and App stability
  • Resend — transactional and support email delivery
  • Vercel — website hosting and operation
  • Railway — operation of the technical service that retrieves vehicle information requested by the App

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Government data

Automatic registration-debt and fine lookups are unavailable. The App opens the official ICVNL and REPUVE portals for checks performed directly by you. Those websites apply their own privacy notices. Regio Placas reads CBP's public border wait-time feed without sending your plate, account or location; normalized estimates are saved on the device for offline fallback. Account-linked alerts are deleted when you delete your account.

6. Vehicle insurance

Insurance quotes and purchasing through Regio Placas are not available in this launch. We do not share data with brokers for quotes or process payments. Before activating that feature, we will update this notice and request any applicable consent.

7. Security measures

We implement technical and administrative measures to protect your data: TLS encryption in transit, secure authentication, row-level security (RLS) policies in the database, and restricted access to authorized personnel.

8. ARCO rights

You have the right to Access, Rectify, Cancel or Object to the processing of your personal data (ARCO rights). To exercise these rights, send an email to hola@regioplacas.app. Include your name, a way to receive our response, the right you wish to exercise, and a clear description of the data involved. Provide only the information needed to verify your identity or, if applicable, your authority to act for someone else. We will respond by email and identify any missing information needed to process the request. You may use the same channel to withdraw consent for processing that depends on consent; withdrawal does not affect processing required by legal or contractual obligations. A cancellation request deletes or blocks active data tied to the account, subject to the limited retention described in the next section.

9. Account deletion

You may request deletion of your account and its associated active data from the Settings section of the App or by sending an email to hola@regioplacas.app. The App requires recent authentication. For email requests, we verify control through the account's registered email or linked sign-in method and may require recent authentication or other strictly necessary information if that is insufficient. Once deletion completes, account access is blocked and active data, including profile, vehicle, document, and alert data, is deleted. Providers may retain backup copies or technical records only while needed for secure restoration, fraud prevention, auditing, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Those records are blocked from ordinary service use and deleted or anonymized when the relevant backup cycle or legal justification ends. When you delete the account in the App, it also attempts to remove Safe Sale NL records from the active device and cancel their reminders. Deleting a vehicle removes that feature's local record for the vehicle. Uninstalling the App removes its local data, subject to the operating system's backup behavior.

10. Minors

Regio Placas is not directed at persons under 18 years of age. We do not intentionally collect data from minors.

11. Changes to this privacy notice

We reserve the right to modify this notice. Any changes will be published on this page and, if significant, we will notify you through the App.
