Yes, RegioPlacas is 100% free. All features are available at no cost: registration lookups, fines, inspection, alerts and insurance quotes.
Q.02Where does the data come from?add
Registration and fine data is queried directly from ICVNL (Nuevo León Vehicle Control Institute) and the state traffic violation system.
Q.03Is this a government app?add
No. RegioPlacas is an independent app that simplifies access to public vehicle information. It is not affiliated with the Nuevo León government.
Q.04Does it work for plates from other states?add
Currently, registration and inspection lookups are exclusive to Nuevo León. Support for additional states is in development.
Q.05Is my data secure?add
Yes. We use TLS encryption, secure authentication and row-level security policies in our database. We do not store payment information.
Q.06How do I get deadline notifications?add
Enable push notifications and RegioPlacas will alert you before your registration, inspection or insurance policy expires.
Q.07What happens if I don't pay registration on time?add
If you miss the due date, ICVNL applies progressive surcharges and your plate may be flagged. RegioPlacas warns you ahead of time so you avoid extra fees and roadside checkpoint issues.
Q.08Can I check REPUVE on a car before buying it?add
Yes. Enter the plate or VIN and RegioPlacas verifies whether the vehicle has theft reports or liens, plus its public history in the Public Vehicle Registry.
Q.09Does the insurance quote charge me automatically?add
No. We only quote through authorized brokers and you decide whether to buy. We never charge without your consent or store payment information.
