Q.01Is the app free?
Yes. The RegioPlacas launch is free and has no subscriptions. It includes vehicle management, available lookups, guides and reminders; insurance purchasing is not part of this launch.
Q.02Where does the data come from?
Available vehicle data comes from ICVNL and other public sources identified in the app. Results may be held temporarily in cache; always verify procedures, amounts and dates with the authority.
Q.03Is this a government app?
No. RegioPlacas is an independent app that simplifies access to public vehicle information. It is not affiliated with the Nuevo León government.
Q.04Does it work for plates from other states?
RegioPlacas is currently designed around vehicles and sources in Nuevo León. Support for other states is not part of this launch.
Q.05Is my data secure?
Yes. We use TLS encryption, secure authentication and row-level security policies in our database. We do not store payment information.
Q.06How do I get deadline notifications?
Configure reminders and allow notifications. Delivery depends on device permissions and availability of the corresponding channel.
Q.07What happens if I don't pay registration on time?
ICVNL determines deadlines, amounts and consequences. Always review your official account statement before paying or making a decision.
Q.08Can I check REPUVE on a car before buying it?
RegioPlacas opens the official REPUVE portal so you can perform the check with the information requested by that authority. The app does not itself certify a vehicle's legal status.
Q.09Can I purchase insurance in the app?
No. Insurance quotes, comparisons, purchasing and payments are not part of this launch. You can record policy details manually and keep a copy as a vehicle document; RegioPlacas does not validate coverage.
Q.10Does Safe Sale release me from liability when I sell?
No. Safe Sale organizes a checklist, dates, official links and reminders. It does not change the registry or replace the official ICVNL procedure or professional advice.
